Magio I/O modules

One module type for all automation

Magio I/O modules are fully universal. Both analog and digital input and output signals can be connected to the module. One module type for all automation!

Magio I/O modules

Universal I/O

Magio I/O modules are fully universal

Magio I/O modules can connect both analog and digital input and output signals. Magio I/O modules have a maximum of 8 analog or 16 digital freely configurable universal I/O connections. They can be programmed for any mode: AI, AO, DI or DO. The same module can include both digital and analog input and output signals. The combined total of digital and analog signals can be at most 16.

Magio I/O modules
  • Actuator condition monitoring

The module monitors the current drawn by the actuator while supplying the actuator with 24V DC voltage.

  • Faster fault location

Abnormal current values help narrow the fault down quickly to the actuator, cabling or load.

  • Alarm to the automation system

When the measured current rises above or falls below the configured limits, the exception can be forwarded to the automation system as a clear alarm.

Fault detection

Magio modules detect faulty actuators

A Magio I/O module can supply the 24V DC voltage required by actuators and measure the current drawn by the actuator at the same time. When current values deviate from the configured limits, the automation system can generate an alarm and help identify a failing actuator in time.

Product family

Magio Serial M and Magio Ethernet M

The Magio product family includes Magio Serial M and Magio Ethernet M I/O modules using the Modbus protocol. The modules suit flexible and distributed automation systems.

Magio Serial M module on DIN rail

Magio Serial M

Magio Serial M is a universal I/O module that uses the Modbus RTU protocol on an RS485 bus.

  • Modbus RTU communication on RS485 bus
  • DIN rail mounting and universal I/O connections
  • Fits distributed automation systems
Magio Ethernet M module on DIN rail

Magio Ethernet M

Magio Ethernet M is a Modbus I/O module with two Ethernet connectors. With its RS485 connector, it can also be used as a gateway for Serial modules.

  • Two Ethernet connectors for Modbus TCP use
  • RS485 connector for gateway use with Serial modules
  • Allows modules to be located in different properties

What the I/O modes do in practice

Universal I/O defines the capacity. This section explains the modes by practical use case so the right connection can be selected point by point.

AI

Analog input

Analog measurements such as temperature, air quality and other condition signals.

AO

Analog output

Control signals for actuators and other devices that need analog control.

DI

Digital input

Alarms, indications, status data and pulse-type signals.

DO

Digital output

Relay controls, on/off controls and other digital output signals.
